postcard

The postcard from the lazy man - a blog post to let you all know things are going well.

Right now I am in an internet cafe right off the main square in Krakow. Beautiful city. I arrived a few days ago and have spent the past few enjoying the city and enjoying the sites. Today I made the depressing but very interesting tour of Auschewitz. It is really unbelievable there, and not in a good way. The other day was spent walking aruond and checking out the cafes. Tomorrow I leave for Budapest, which I am looking forward to.

Anyway - this is just a quick note letting you all know I'm alive and well. I'll have some good pictures to show when I get back.

humility??

Hi everyone, if anyone read my last post, did you think I was like Miss perfect? It sounds like that. I was trying to say that as you probably know, I take pride on being a good homemaker and I enjoy everything that has to do with the house, cleaning, cooking, baking, taking care of my kiddies etc. and now with two more people at home I'm able to be organized. Hope everyone is doing great, enjoy the beautiful days.

Love you all,

MOM:)

can't believe!!

Danny, you jumped 5 times?????????????? I know your guardian angel was right there with you....yes Phil, and don't say anything silly about this.

I guess my little filly is going to Europe...have fun and be careful. You left your tolietry bag here, didn't realize it was yours until you left.

Danny, can you tell me a little bit about anthropology? What do you do with it? I really don't know. Hopefully you'll be here for your bday.

Everything is going well here at home, it's busy but not as much as I thought I would be. I am organized and able to do everything that needs to be done. Most people I know have cleaning ladies but I'm able to do the housework and take care of everyone at home. I've been taking Jamillah to school but tomorrow she takes the bus, that is if she doesn't miss it, she likes to sleep!! I realize how blessed I've been to have you kids, you NEVER gave me problems in the morning and I used to be a sleepyhead...

I loved having all of you here, I really like that game, Jamillah had a great time too, I'm glad. Hopefully we'll get together the last sat of Oct for papa's bday celebration, mark your calendars. I'm not goint to "train" like Danny for the turkey trot but I'm going to see if I start running a little bit in combination with my walking. Jamillah is excited about the turkey trot too.

I hear Javi's business is doing real well, I'm really happy. I read Owen't article it's great...great advertisement too!!

Marcie is coming today, she wanted chinese so I got her one, I mean food. She's spending the day at Central tomorrow, maybe they'll hire her as a teacher.

LOVE YOU ALL

MOM:)

Blah!

first order of business, whos doing the turkey trot? I hear Marcie's bringing in outside help to take my crown, thats ok. I started training to hopefully lower my time (goal of 21 min, nothing spectacular), anyway it should be a fun day nonetheless.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=_bjL2K-l5Kk&search=airborne if you want to know what its like jumping at airborne school, this kid snuck a camera on or something. watching the movie though actually made me scared and i did it five times! really shows what you can do if you put your mind to it (or is it shut your mind off to it?).

last order of business, ROTC forced me to plan the next 4 years of my college, so im now (almost) officially majoring in anthropology and criminal justice (i was gonna try and throw a minor of computer science, but couldn't really fit it in). anyway, its some random stuff that should be fun and easy, what are peoples thoughts?

headcrusher

Saddam lashed out Tuesday against what he called "agents of Iran and Zionism" and vowed to "crush your heads" after listening to Kurdish witnesses tell of the horrors allegedly committed by his fallen regime.

I'm so proud!!

My heart is so glad today, I'm reading the blog and reading about all of you really makes me happy. My filly sounds so much like the oldest child that he is. It' funny how you mention the "shower" thing, since I didn't go AWAY to college I don't know about those things. (But Marcie I did go for 3 yrs...just kidding) I'm sorry Phil that I didn't get you one. If you want one I can get one for you. Marci'es is pink, I can get one in blue for you.

I really enjoyed our liner at Applebee's, we missed Danny though and papi called you but you did not answer. Marcie, we really like Jenny, even Jamila said "Jenny is such a nice girl". I'm happy she is your roommate.

Danny, I have been praying for you all day, I know that you will do fine. Yesterday we went to Great Adventure and they had a ride that was I guess like what you are going to do, they drop you with a parachute. But I think with you when you go down in a parachute it probably won't have the cables like the one in Great Adventure???

I'm very proud of Javi and how well he is doing with his job. Javi, could you take a few minutes of your busy life to share a little bit and tell us about your new business?

We had such a great time with Jamila, she really is a nice girl, but too inmature to take care of her baby. The grandmother is not fit to take care of this baby, she didn't even raise her own daughter, is so terrible that DFYS does not care and want to give the baby to her. It's up to the judge, so please PLEASE pray for the baby this week, specially on thursday, that's when the judge decides. Everybody please offer a little sacrifice on that day.

I'm really sad that Steve Irwin died, I really liked him, he seemed to be such a nice, family person. With all the times that he was in danger, it was the time when nobody thought he was doing anything dangerous that it happenned. We never know when our end will come, Danny, I am so happy that you wear your scapular, it's so very important.

Love you all

MOM:)

PS Javi took Jubi yesterday, I really miss her a lot, today the house didn't seem the same without her, I will specially miss her when I take my shower, since she was always there with me. I'm glad though that she will keep her mom company. I do miss Monique a lot!!

What up homies

Good to see you getting along at college so far. And as far as dorm space - I'm not sure when anyone has said that they actually have more space than they need. I think we might catch lunch tomorrow - I hear you're going to be in Flemington with Mom and Dad.

Having fun in that Georgian heat bro? I can't stand it when it is 90 outside and I'm walking from the A/C in my car to the A/C in a building - not sure how you do it. Have fun with jump school - remember to follow your training and you'll do well. These other kids who do stupid stuff- forget them and just make sure you do what you're told. You'll ace it. You're going to be around 9/10 right? I have a wedding on my bday - but I'll be in Flemington the next day. Apparently we're having dinner.

Enjoy the 4 day weekend - I have a 3 day one and I'll take it.

ABNS

It's good to hear from everyone and it sounds like most people are doing good, Marcie glad to hear that your hanging out with your roommates thats always a good thing.

I'm doing pretty well for the most part, the whole course has been pretty easy, except that it literally doesn't ever drop below 95 degrees! The heat gets so bad that we have to roll up our sleeves and walk every where. Besides that, the fact that I just got sick, and that I've been in Army training all summer, things are good. At the moment we have a 4 day weekend (anyone else get one?), and then Tuesday morning we jump out of a plane that wont be on fire! Wednesday and Thursday we do two jumps each day, and with weather permitting we graduate 9 am on Friday.

Truthfully, I'm not really that nervous, at least at the moment, to jump. I think I should be though, the guy who jumps before me is one of those smart people with no common sense, and yesterday my scapular some how broke off the chain, but the chain and both the scapular are in perfect condition (you think God is trying to say something?). The final straw, was this new kid who showed up yesterday, he had jumped last week, and on his third jump some moron did something stupid in the air(im trying to avoid details you guys wont understand) dropping this kid 70 feet straight to the gound. Now, this strikes me as good and bad, the kid survived a 70 ft fall and is jumping again a week later, but one stupid mistake caused it. I'm one of the last people to jump so if I stay on my toes (like the joke) I should be fine. Plus, I found a church and plan on going to confession, so hopefully God will be on my side.

Hope everyone continues to do good, and if you got time I could use your prayers Tuesday at around 12 and dont stop until Friday morning.
