Shopping Online

So Costco.com is offering a Picasso for anyone interested. I might throw this on the credit card, since the 150k is not in the account just yet.

Actually looking at it, I would have to say that the only reason someone would buy it, is because Picasso drew it. Its not even a good drawing.

Ronda

There is one town that would be better than Aranjuez to see your first bullfight in if you were only going to see one and that is Ronda. That is where you should go if you ever go to Spain on a honeymoon or if you ever bolt with any one. The entire town and as far as you can see in any direction is romantic background and there is an hotel there that is so comfortable, so well run and where you eat so well and usually have a cool breeze at night that, with the romantic background and the modern comfort, if a honeymoon or an elopement is not a success in Ronda it would be as well to start for Paris and both commence making your own friends.

IM

I truly doubt anyone still uses this, but my old account was erased for reasons that go beyond me, and i wanted to talk to u all so i made a new one.

This is my name dagoBotero ya i know its weird but they had names that no other person should have and it would have taken me forever to pick one that meant something so i took one word that sounded weird dagoba(from star wars) and put our last name for ease of use. anyway, if anyone has an account put it on the blog, and if anyone wants my new account give it out.

Icelandic horse trot

Ok, so the Icelandic horse is pretty funny looking. Apparently, because they haven't been bred with other horses since the mid-800's, and because they avoided the intense selective breeding that went on in Europe later on, they most closesly resemble and act like what European horses were like 1200 years ago.

But what's really interesting is their "tolt." All horses have set types of gaits: walk, trot, and canter. Icelandic horses, however, can also "tolt" and "pace." Some horses can be taught to pace, which is when a horse moves both legs on a single side at the same time, but the Icelandic horse does it naturally. And the tolt is a gait that no other horse in the world can do. Wikipedia says that in a tolt the horse "actually moves its legs in the same sequence as walking, changing between having one or two legs at the ground, only faster, so it looks like a running walking pace." Strange, huh? Sounds like a circus horse. I'd be curious to see one just to see that. (Which is a possibility. Whenever it's monetarily possible, I've decided that I want to go to Iceland and ride around the edge of the island by horseback. Apparently it doesn't take too long and it's supposed to be a breathtaking experience. Who's in?)

comp

glad to hear that everyones doing good, but was wondering if anyone knew about a free firewall i could download. so as you can tell i got my computer and its pretty nice, besides that everything else is going well over here. im at the moment choosing classes and even though most of my first classes are requirements i was wondering if anyone could help me choose a major. After college i want to go into law enforcement (FBI, DEA, ATF), but im not sure what major. I was thinking criminal law, but i spoke with someone a while back and he told me since everyone does that your better off going with something like Political Science(did i remember right?). Well, if anyone has some good ideas for a major i could choose it would be helpful.

Whats up

Haven't posted in awhile here, and after reading Monique's post I'm inspired to do it.

I'm in the middle of classes and they are keeping me busy. Dan, go to school and just do it. Its a pain explaining, that Yes, I'm still in school. No, its not a medical program.

Played football yesterday, and actually helped our other team out by playing for them. The irony is that we actually won. Got called traitor twice after the game.

Yesterday Xavier and I went to buy bagels and they gave us one right out of the oven. It was burning hot and was chewy like a pretzel. We also went to a new cuban restaurant down the street. It was athentic, but they didn't use as much sauce as they do in Miami. It was a real little restaurant with no AC but plenty of ice water to cool off with. We went down to the basement for the first time to watch a movie on the big screen TV. It was delightful. We put on that big TV on and turned off the lights and it felt like a private screening room.

Hey Marcie, When are you coming to visit now that school is almost out? You should make plans to visit us up here. We will pick you up and bring you here. They have a bunch of free art things over the summer here so sometimes there is live music and all sorts of other things.

Phil glad to here you have met lots friends. It didn't take long did it. I'm glad you have having fun out there.

Danny, How's the second one arm push up going. Have you mastered it for a second time? How's your ankle feeling? Hope it gets better soon.

Mom, don't work too hard on fixing up the house. It is looking beautiful and you want to be able to sit down sometimes and enjoy it.

Dad, Thanks for all your help picking us up and calling to check up on us. How's the commute going? Are you gettting used to it? It has to be better than the flights out to mexico.

I just wanted to write to everyone to say hello and check up. See you all soon.

Love,
Monique

Just wanted to let everyone know that your dreams do come true and you gotta stick with your goals.

Dan

Open Invites

So I'm officially broke as heck. I doubt I'll be in NJ anytime soon, probably the holidays, maybe Thanksgiving. I do want to struggle through the Turkey Trot with the family.

But I'm extending offers for all to come visit me in Sunny Columbus this summer! Free room and board ! Complimentary Power Bars on your pillows and as much Miller Hi-life as you can drink! Does it get any better than this ? ?
